Glossy, tangy-sweet dipping sauce with bright pineapple and a touch of ketchup.
5 steps, about 13 minutes start to finish.
Combine pineapple juice, rice vinegar, ketchup, sugar, and soy sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Stir to dissolve the sugar and bring to a simmer.
Mix cornstarch with water to make a slurry.
Add the cornstarch slurry to the sauce and stir constantly until the sauce thickens.
Remove from heat. Serve warm or at room temperature as a dipping sauce.
