The preparation

6 steps, about 25 minutes start to finish.

  1. 01

Slice baguette, brush with olive oil, toast at 375°F for 5-6 minutes.

  2. 02

Cube ham into small pieces for better mouth feel and crisping.

  3. 03

Combine ham, cream cheese, chopped artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and garlic. No pre-cooking needed for this mixture.

  4. 04

Add a little Parmesan cheese for depth and binding.

  5. 05

    Spoon mixture onto toasted crostini.

  6. 06

Place under broiler for about 2 minutes to warm through.

lightbulb The chef's notes

“Cube the ham small so every bite gets some and the topping crisps rather than sliding off. A quick 2 minutes under the broiler is all it needs to warm through and brown the edges.”
